The club has racing on Saturday afternoons which last for about 4 hours in total although some of the races are longer and start earlier but in general they finish about 5pm, most of our trophy races are held on Saturdays.

A new series of races commences this year with the introduction of Wednesday evening racing, these races will have a duration of about an hour and a half, with a start time of 7pm, a person needs to be ready to leave at 6.30 for these. The idea behind these races is to get more people involved with the club and more new members. If you’re new to sailing this is a great place to start.

The cruiser officer also runs a introductory course to sailing in early May for interested participants , this course explains the basics of sailing and will try to bring people out in the cruisers to give a little bit of experience to one and all.

The club also needs people to run events, these are generally land based keeping times for racing and starting and finishing races.

So if you are interested in Sailing and want to get involved the best thing to do is contact the Cruiser Officer at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
